The egg, the coffee and the muorto

At yesterday’s meeting they presented the work five of us had done. Only one person got up to talk, and for twenty minutes it was I, I, I. A colleague next to me was drawing circles on her notepad, one inside the other, without looking up. At the end everyone applauded. On the way out she got a coffee from the machine and said just one thing to me: we’re the ones who laid the egg, though.
