The morning of the parrot and the coffee

This morning I woke up to the sound of a parrot chattering in the courtyard. I went down to the kitchen and my mother asked me to get the bread. Right then I remembered a friend I hadn’t heard from in a while. I grabbed the phone and called him. We agreed to meet for coffee. While we were talking, I found out he was looking for someone for a project, and I had exactly the right skills. On my way home I kept thinking how strange it is that a simple conversation can open doors you never expected.
