A story
The odd dog in the piazza
My aunt has a dog that’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. One leg shorter than the others, one ear up and one ear down, a patchy coat. Last Sunday she took him to the piazza and a lady asked her what breed he was. My aunt answered, dead serious: he’s a beautiful dog. Then she turned to me and said that lady didn’t understand a thing. On the way home the dog limped along behind us, and at one point he stopped to watch a butterfly.
